2011 Oscar nomination predictions

The moment I’m sure all film fans have anxiously been anticipating is nearly here (the nominees will officially be announced on January 25th) and I think many of you, like myself, are trying to find some analysis out there of which films and stars have a chance.

Certainly, there have been a number of good to great films released this year. Shutter Island, Brooklyn’s Finest, Robinhood, Inception, The Social Network, The Town, Hereafter, Morning Glory and Unstoppable were among my favorites. Once again, I’ve watched over 40 movies in the theaters this year and feel compelled to deliver my 2011 Oscar nominee predictions and so here they are:

  1. As much as I would kill for Nolan to win for screenplay, the fact remains the Academy has an unreasonable hard on for The King’s Speech so original screenplay will probably go to that movie rather Inception, despite it should win. Check out my list and opinions when you can!
